Pa-Rum-Pa-Pum-Pum

Ok, so I just know that I’ve got you singing Christmas songs now lol.  Sorry if you have this song stuck in your head for the rest of the day but I thought if I have then it would be wrong not to share it with you!

The reason for my title is this little card using the new Lawn Fawn set, Ra-Pum-Pa-Pum-Pum.  I was asked to make a card for a little boy who has his second birthday and this little train set just fit the bill.  Like I need an excuse to buy a new stamp set!

This card took me AGES to make, not because it was difficult or because I hadn’t got an idea of what I wanted to do, but I spent a long time playing around with different colour ideas and try as I might I couldn’t figure out where I wanted those silly (but obviously beautiful) stars!!  My photo is a little blue so it is actually quite a bit brighter in real life.

I made this using the Lawnscaping challenge to do some embossing, I chose to dry emboss the background circle with a plaid pattern after I'd seen inspiration from one of the girls on the Lawn Fawn main blog, in fact I was also inspired by the twine used for the connectors for the little carriages.  I used the sketch from Fetch-A-Sketch that you can see below.  (NB: the sentiment is from PTI Make a Wish)

That's it from me today. I’ll be back tomorrow with another post for The Play Date Cafe.  My sponsored image is just SO perfect for me… watch this space!

Ciao for now!

  2. This is so cute! love the fun colours and sweet train image!
The ribbon on my card was from (I think!) Fabric Land in Newbury, I'm pretty sure it was from there, they had some in this teal, red and white. I got the teal colour ages ago, and was just right for the PDCC this week!
When are you free to catch up? xx
