A little bit of {ippity}

* Edited to add links, oops sorry!!

Hey there everyone!  Firstly it seems only fair to issue a warning... It's a picture heavy post today!

Today is H{ippity} Hop day. I've made a card using my favourite flower from this set, 'Now & Always'.

The papers are Basic Grey, the butterfly from my Martha Stewart hole punch, the ribbon is from Stamping Up! and the sentiment from Hero Arts.  If you'd like more information on the goodies used just drop me an e-mail.

I am a bit late in posting this but as you may know {ippity} have just released some new gorgeous goodies, and I am going to share them all with you today.  They are lovely!

This set is my favourite of the new collection.  How totally gorgeous is that sun, and those little birds are adorable!!!  What about that jar for Valentines or for an anniversary?  FAB huh?!

This set is all about home, the number of times I threaten to make a stash of new home cards but never do, now I have no excuse!  I love those little hearts too, they'd look great as a border along the bottom of a card, or even inside to finish off.

This set is great for the men in our lives, I love those little ties and isn't that car fun?  It would work as well for a teenager as it would for an older guy.  How cute is that 'Daddy & Me'?

Isn't it odd how things that we used in the past eventually translate themselves into the cardmaking world?  My Dad always used these kind of books when he was an Accountant.  They bring back fun memories of him!

Dotty should be my middle name!  I love anything with polka dots and have to restrain myself from posting it all the time in case you get bored, LOVE this one!  It would make a great background or be brilliant for making your own patterned papers.

Here's another one of those little daily things that finally made it to the card making world, the postage stamp, how cute is that?!  You could use it on the front of your envelopes if you're giving them by hand.  I love the little circles too, they would be great cut out and used on scrapbook layouts.  (must get back into scrapbooking one day!)

Next one up is 'SO this is LOVE'.  I really love the words on this set, I don't think you can ever have enough word stamps, can you?

I just love the name of this set, 'Bitty Pixie Paisley'!  I LOVE the flowers too, I bet they look fab paper pieced!

Another yummy postal type set.  I have a bit of a thing for post card stamps, I never know what to do with them, but I have a few!  This would look pretty with a few flowers on to the left of it, it really does all of the work for you!  I'm looking forward to seeing what others make with this one, it's gorgeous!

Don't you just love all of the sentiments {ippity} come up with, and those little branches are so sweet.  You could bling them up with some glitter.

Isn't that pumpkin label pretty with the flourishes?!!  You could use that for fall cards too, not that we have those over in the UK, but being part of the blogging world now you start to think of how other countries celebrate!  Another fun part of blogging is learning all of the cultural differences we have, and the different traditions.  Love learning all about them!    I really like the label too, you could change that to any date you wanted just by masking it out.

And.. Last but not least this stamp is another of my favourites.  I just love all of them on this set!  YOU do deserve the best, so what are you waiting for?  Drop me an e-mail and order up some goodies for yourself.   If I don't have the set in stock I can always order it for you. I'd love you to be able to play with these too!

Smile With Your Heart :o)

Hi everyone

Did you have a good weekend?  We had lots of visitors yesterday.  It was Father's Day but we also had family and friends over.  We were doing quite well until we realised we didn't have a dessert!!  How could we forget that?!!  Anyway, Mars Bars to the rescue! We chopped them up and served them instead, with some little flapjack bites.  Luckily they were very good friends, and family will forgive most things lol

I have a card to share with you today.  I wanted to use some of my new goodies, two Martha Stewart punches and my Basic Grey Lemonade pad, so this is what I came up with....

I don't often do cards just with sentiments.  In fact I never really did them at all until a couple of the girls on the Play Date Cafe team did them and I thought I must try that!  That's what I love most about blogging, you try so many more things than you would if you just worked in isolation.  I get so much inspiration from other bloggers, thanks everyone!

This card uses the fab sketch over at Card Patterns. I had started to make a card with their sketch last week, but completely missed the deadline so I may share that with you another time.

I know there's supposed to be something resembling flowers on the left, but hopefully you can forgive my central button bow instead!  I am really pleased with how this turned out, especially my lovely little butterflies, they are so much fun to do!

The sentiment is from the {ippity} set, 'Fall For You' and the checkerboard background in the scallop circle is made using the 'Bit of Burlap'.  I wasn't sure what to do with the Burlap one to start with, but it stamps so well and gives a lovely delicate background, funky too!

If you'd like to buy either of these sets just drop me an e-mail.  See sidebar for details.  I am hoping to get a separate page up and running soon.

Enjoy the rest of the hop!

A quick card for H{ippity} Hop

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a good weekend.  We had a lovely weekend, not much time to create, but we had a family photo shoot done!  We felt like we were posing for a Vogue magazine, all very glam!  We don't have the pictures back yet, but they seem to have come out really well.  I'm not very photogenic if I pose for the camera. I put on a really silly smile for some reason, so I guess the photographer will have a bit of editing to do before they get sent over to us lol

I made this card using the Get Sketchy challenge sketch.   I've used the label stamp from 'A Moment in Time' and the little sentiment comes from a previous collection 'Moon Beam and Heart Strings'.

I bought my little ticket stamp a while ago, I'd wanted one for EVER.  Then when I got it I didn't really know what to do with it!  Does that ever happen to you?!

I'm a bit behind with commenting, so if I haven't popped by to say hello I will at some point.  It's been very busy, and is likely to get busier this week as we have a family funeral to attend, under very sad circumstances.

On a lighter note, do try to play along over at the Play Date Cafe, there's still time!  Also, join in with the digi challenge over at Tiffany Doodles.  You could even combine both challenges.

If you would like to buy any of {ippity} stamps I do sell them so just drop me an e-mail :o)

Enjoy the rest of your day.  I hope it's sunny where you are!

H{ippity} is here again, where does the time go?!

Hi there everyone

Please scroll down for Tiffany Doodles Challenge.

I was trying to post this below the Tiffany Doodles one, but because of the Blogger issues I thought it was best to leave it well alone, seeing as it's already been posted!!  I will be quick today becuase of the Blogger issues.  Mine seems to be ok at the minute, so I'm going to do it quickly with fingers crossed that it will work!

Here is my card for the hop. Don't forget to check out the {ippity} blog for the full listing of others participating in the hop.

I loosely used the FTL sketch over at Clean and Simple Stamping, here...
I say loosely used it because I don't actually have a stamped image in the middle, just my little stamped butterflies from the Now and Always set.

This card was fun to make, I'd picked up a piece of patchwork paper that I loved.  I always like patchwork papers, I'd love to be able to do that on a sewing maching, that would be fab.

(oh dear, yet another technique to add to my never ending list lol)

Stamps: {ippity}: Now and Forever, Papertrey Ink: Springtime Doodles
Papers: Girls Papier - Vintage Patchwork, SU! raspberry cardstock

Accessories: SU! polka dot ribbon, Prima pink pearls, blue pearls, buttons and twine from stash, Tim Holtz 'Tattered Rose'

Thanks for popping by my blog, have fun on the hop!

My first H{ippity} Hop

Hey everyone

Hope you had a great weekend. Ours was quite busy, but lovely too. Saturday we did an Art Journalling course with Sarah (Anderson), which was incredibly messy but lots of fun. I've decided that I need to work on that a bit more, lots of practice required I think lol.

So, today is my very first H{ippity} hop. I thought I would join in on the fun. I'm hoping this will post properly for me as there is quite a time difference and it took me a while to figure out what it was! Fingers crossed I got it right!

For my card I used my little bird and tree from the {ippity} 'Fall for You' set.  Oh HOW cute is he?!!!!  He looks so sweet stamped up in real life!

I usually do a search on different sketch sites at the weekends to see what sketches jump out at me, and I found this one over at the Sweet Sunday sketch blog.  The idea this week was to use the sketch but to incorporate some background stamping.  Now, this all started off very well, but my tree looked a bit flat.  In the end I decided to stamp it and cut it out instead, so it only resembles the sketch a little now!  Does that ever happen to you?!!!  Funny!  I still really enjoyed using the sketch though.  As soon as I saw it I thought it was perfect for my little bird.  What type of bird do you reckon he is?

Hope you enjoy the rest of the H{ippity} hop!   I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has made.  Don't forget, there's still time to join in with the Play Date Cafe challenge this week!  Pop on over and see what you can come up with!
