Feeling Green

I liked the idea of the Daring Cardmakers Challenge this week, 'Feeling Green'. I thought I would do some trees! I really enjoyed making this card, I don't normally do trees, or use that much green really, so it was a nice change.

I cut out two strips of Basic Grey patterned paper, the bottom one I scalloped using my punch. I then cut out two circles, turned each of the circles over and drew the outline of the 'leaves' and then cut them out. I wanted to mimic the trees on the paper (see above for close up of paper). I backed the green circles with brown card, and then cut out some trunks. I then stamped the 'just a little note...' sentiment and added 3 gems.

Dies:
Sizzix Circles #2
Stamps: Muse Art Stamps, 'Little Note'
Paper: Basic Grey papers from 'Offbeat' pad, Bazzill Classic
Accessories: Swarowski gems

Stay green!
