Two Weeks to Christmas
Today’s cards for my MTDS blog post are quick and simple. My friend wasn’t very keen, I think she thought it looked like it had been thrown together, but I think it’s quite funky. What do you think?!
Next up is another simple card, just a bit of colouring and some ribbon to give it a touch of candy cane colour.
I also made it in this colourway too…
Well I hope you like what you see. I will be back next week with some more Christmasness. For details of the stamps & copics I used check out the MTDS blog.
Have a great week!

Jester Socks?!!
Hi there
I did a swopsie with Jenny the other day for my card so I’m posting today, thanks Jenny, you’re a star! My card is based on last week’s Retro Sketches sketch..
Here’s what I created..
I used two of the Christmas sets from Paper Smooches ..
All Yule Need & Christmas Sampler (the sampler is out of stock at the minute but keep checking the website and grab it when it’s back in)
I have lots of these little ‘jester socks’ coloured in. They are soooo therapeutic to colour and you can do them while you watch tv. Ok so I’ve called them jester socks, what would you call them??!! I also coloured in some of the socks on the bottom left and the more traditional stocking just above it, eek. I LOVE Christmas!
I hope you have a fab Saturday whatever you are doing. We have friends coming over today so I’m guessing it’s gonna be a little hectic!
Have fun!

Season’s Greetings… already? Really??!
I thought I’d better start making some Christmas cards before it arrives, so here’s one I made earlier..
My bestie was over when I made this. Oh boy, talk about laugh ourselves silly, it was just one of those mornings, we had an hilarious time catching up!
I created this for my blog post over at Make the Day Special so pop on over there for all of the details.
Apparently it’s 4 weeks today to Christmas so you’d better get started on yours too!
Have fun!

Time to Come Out of Your Shell
My daughter had to do some little thank you cards for her friends and with time being limited I went into a little mass production with variation on colour.
Pop on over to the Make the Day Special Blog for details of what I used.
So I hope you like my little cards, I’ve taken a pic of one on it’s own too so you can see the detail a bit better. These were super simple to make, which is great when your daughter remembers they need to be made the night before she needs to hand them out!! Have a great day!

Congratulations
I wanted to create a quick but fun and happy card, my friend is into cows so I thought this would be the perfect stamp for her. I think it’s a she-cow because of her eyelashes, what do you think?!
I very loosely followed the sketch over at Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge. I tend to start with a sketch and then get a bit carried away but I hope you can see a bit of where my inspiration came from lol
For details of the stamps and Copics I used pop on over to the Make The Day Special blog.
Have a great Tuesday!

Happy Halloween!
I have a couple of Halloween cards to share with you, one for Natasha and one for her friend, it’s our tradition to send each other cards each year.
For the details of the stamps I used pop on over to the Make The Day Special Blog. I’m entering the first card into Cupcake Inspirations using this fun pic..
My second card...
Sorry the picture quality isn’t that great, I took the pic at night. That hour time change makes such a difference!
This second card is being entered into…
Scrappy Frogs Challenge (Fall/Halloween)
Just Some Lines (Halloween)
Happy Halloween, hope you have fun if you’re celebrating. Personally this isn’t my favourite celebration because I have a phobia of people in masks I look as white as my ghost if someone turns up on my doorstep with a mask on! I stay in and just make/eat pumpkin soup and send Ian to the door instead!

A Bittersweet Post
Sad though this is I will still play along from time to time because I love my Play Date Cafe.
Julie Murray, thank you for the most WONDERFUL time with the Play Date Cafe. You have been a fabulous boss lady, you took me on when I knew nothing about design teams or challenges and you believed in me, giving me the confidence to grow as a designer. You absolutely love your challenge and put every fibre of your being into making it a successful one, long may that continue. More importantly though you’ve become my lovely friend!
So PDCC girls I won’t say goodbye, but I will say see you around in blogland! Keep up the fab work.
Ciao for now!

PDCC is 3 years’ old!!!
Happy Anniversary to The Play Date Cafe! Our challenge has been running for a fantastic 3 years now, wow! I think I’ve been here for a huge chunk of that too! We have lots of fun faces joining us for our celebrations and some great prizes up for grabs, so come and join in the fun with us!
I have made a Christmas card for you, I need to get started properly! Life is sooo busy I haven’t had much time to play.
We have some unusual (for me) colours for you, I found them quite tricky to play with but I’m quite pleased how my card turned out.
I seem to be going more clean and simple with my style of cards lately. I’m not sure whether it’s because I’m busy or whether it’s because I’m trying to simplify my life in loads of areas, who knows?! The stamps are by Lawn Fawn, Ornate Ornaments and I used a mixture of papers.
Play Date Cafe has a new look, I’m sure you will LOVE it! Check out this fun badge for starters ..
We would love you to place our 'I Play' badge on your blog and LINK IT to The Cafe. Julie will be randomly visiting blogs throughout the five days and will have prizes to give away to a few when she finds the badges!
There are some fabulous projects to inspire you from our DT and Alumni members. Pop on over to the main PDCC blog and check them out and to find out all about the goodies to be won.
We are having a 5-Day Celebration, running from Oct 18 - Oct 22 so make sure you stop by The Cafe each day for new inspiration, more prizes & surprises. Come and join us on facebook and Twitter because we are doing random giveaways there as well.
