Color Me Creative & Make It Crafty...

Well what a FAB combination!  I love pretending to be an artist using my Copics and Zoe’s images are just sooo cute you can’t help but want to colour!!  I do LOVE them!

Our challenge over at Color Me Creative is all about ‘Winged Things’.  Our sponsors this week are Make It Crafty.  I used this gorgeous little fairy called ‘Vixie’.

 Here is the inspiration pic, just remember that your image MUST have wings (fairies, butterflies, dragonflies etc)

 I am in a love-hate relationship with hair colouring I’ve decided, sometimes I’m pleased with the outcome, sometimes I find it really frustrating lol. I’m quite pleased with Vixie’s hair but she’s just such a gorgeous image to colour that I would have forgiven her anything anyway lol

I used some older Basic Grey ‘Origins’ patterned paper for the central panel and the orange floral background paper is from Stella Rose, with some green Bazzill cardstock.  The antique ribbon is from The Stamp Attic, which I crumpled with Ranger distress ink ‘Peeled Paint’ and then stitched on (yes, I stitched!!!) a double button to finish it off.

I’m entering this card into the following challenges;

Copic Oz challenge ‘It’s All About Hair’
Cardmad Fairy Digi Days Challenge ‘Use digi image and buttons’
Flutter by Wednesday – use punches and/or die cuts (nesties) and butterfly, fairy or angel

Zoe at MIC said we could choose two images so as I don’t like to make a scene as it were but she very kindly gave me a gorgeous second image too anyway.  Thanks Zoe, they were both SO much fun to colour.  I decided to give her a funky hair colour!  I’m not so keen on her hair colouring, it didn’t go as well.  She was my second attempt too, I was messing around with perfect pearls and ended up ruining my first one, grrr!!  Practice makes perfect!  Nobody got anywhere without trying, did they?!  If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again (that’s what my wise old Grandad would have said).

 The papers are from My Mind’s Eye Lime Twist ‘Happy Go Lucky’ and the sentiment stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

Pop on over to check out what my teamies have made, they are very clever at putting scenes together and have created some beauties for you.
