Happy Mother’s Day Mum!

Hello!  We celebrate Mothers’ Day earlier in the UK than other countries so tomorrow is our Mother’s Day this year.  This card is for my Mum, a day early but I wanted to use my Color Me Creative (CMC) card for her.   Happy Mother's Day Marmie.  You are the best Mum in the world, well besides me that is lol.

Over at CMC we have a GREAT challenge for you this time, it’s basically Anything Goes, so use your favourite… fave colours, fave technique, fave image etc.  The choice is yours.

Well I couldn’t make out what was my favourite because I just love colouring in general but I do actually love colouring in people so when we were told we were being sponsored by Spesch Designer Stamps I was over the moon when I saw this Strawberry Girl, I love her! 

Thank you Spesch for such a fab image!!  I was going for a strawberry blonde hair colour but not quite sure I got there, I’m still pleased with her though.  I showed Ian and he said, ‘I’d stop and talk to her if I saw her in the street’ lol.  What is he like?  He fancies my digi image lol.  He went on to say she reminded him of me so he slightly redeemed himself lol.  If only I had the legs she has!!

One of the first things Suzanne teaches in her beginner’s classes is triple colour combos and I would probably have left these pinks (R81, R83 & R85) until quite late on in my collecting days, but I’m really glad I took the plunge.  They work beautifully together, really easy to blend too.  I normally hate pink but for some reason I’m drawn to it lately, really odd!  I really love this hair colour combo too, another one of Suzanne’s go to combos, this time a four blend of E51, E53, E97 and E99.

I’ve seen some beautiful colouring lately of really dark brunette hair so may have to have a play with that next.  Anyway, for this card I used a sketch from Deconstructed Sketches.  I combined lots of MME Lost and Found papers, Sweethearts stamp from Waltzingmouse Stamps for the sentiment and the banner was from the PTI wine bottle tag, just turned on its side.
