Hi everyone, are you looking forward to the Easter break? We are, it will be lovely to have some family downtime.
Today we have some wonderful new colours over at The Play Date Cafe for you, they are really fresh. As soon as I saw them I immediately thought of a very old Amy Butler scrapbook pad that I had ( I think it was called ‘Lotus’) I went very clean and simple with this card. Using various papers I created a wallpaper effect that I adhered onto a piece of white cardstock, then I added a large stripey grosgrain bow (SU!) before pop dotting the panel to the card base. I added a flower that I die cut using Sizzix Flower 3d die and added a little pearl that I attached with glossy accents. I stamped and hand cut the sentiment (PTI) and that was it. The papers are quite busy so I tried to keep it as ‘clean’ as possible. All in all a pretty quick card to make. I think if I was doing it again perhaps a bit of stitching would have given it a bit more definition and interest.
Here is our gorgeous inspiration picture.
Mmmm look at that yummy bag in the bottom right hand corner of that collage, me love!!
I look forward to seeing what you create. Maybe you will have some extra time this weekend to play??
We are being sponsored by The ScrapCake this week so pop on over to our main Play Date Cafe Blog to find out more, and to get some beautiful inspiration from the rest of the PDCC girls.
Have fun!
