A Bit of Denim

Hi everyone.  I’m here to share a card for my day over at Make The Day Special.  For this one I used a card from the Papercrafts Card Design magazine that I mentioned a few posts ago.  I’m loving all the inspiration in there.

The little tag is just a tag that was in the sheet of paper itself.  I cut it off, added a couple of stars and then die cut the number 3.  The little train is from a Christmas set, Lawn Fawn’s Pa-Rum-Pa-Pum-Pum and the sentiment is from one of my fave sentiment sets..Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler  I normally like to colour, as you know, but this time I thought I would just stamp and paper piece the little train.  You can’t really make it out but I used white enamel accents for the centre of the wheels for a touch of dimension.

I’m entering this into the Moxie Fab World's Gallon, Quart, Pint challenge.

Hope you like it, have a great day!

Moxie Die Cutting & Paper Issues

It’s me again!  I’m back with a card that I made for one of the current Die Cutting Challenge in the Moxie Fab World which also happens to tie in nicely with the fun ‘All You Need Is Love’ challenge over at Paper IssuesI would encourage you to link up your cards/projects over there too, you will be blown away by some of the inspiring projects by the rest of the DT.

I was asked to make an Engagement card and wanted it to be elegant but in less traditional colours.  There is a challenge over at Moxie World is to create a project using a die in an innovative way so I threaded some ribbon through the die, I hope it will qualify!  I paired up some gorgeous patterned paper that I got over at The Stamp Attic with my new die from Memory Box sent over by the lovely Suzanne Dean at Color Me Creative, thank you Suzanne!  The butterfly is layered although I’m not sure it shows that well in the photo, you may just be able to make out that the bottom butterfly is chocolate brown.  The ZVA crystals were cut into two so that I could use them at the top and bottom of the card.
Hope you like it!  I’m working on my accounts at the moment for my tax return due at the end of the month, so not much time to play but I will be back Thursday with another Play Date Cafe card.  Until then, have fun!

Grey and Yellow

My last card for today. I liked the idea of this challenge over at Moxie Fab World this week because the colours are a bit unusual so I thought I would play!

To start with I cut wavy lines on three different pieces of card/paper as seen. I cut along the yellow curvy line so that the front of the card was removed to show the inside. I then cut some grey (light elephant!) card running along the same lines as the front and cut out the letters, 'B-R-O'. Finally I cut out the phrase and sponged some ink along the yellow curvy line to soften it a bit.

Dies: Sizzix Phrase, 'Happy Birthday #2', 'Junk Drawer' Alphabet Set
Paper: Basic Grey papers from 'Offbeat' pad, Bazzill Bling & Classic

Quick question..I had some feedback earlier that someone was not able to leave a comment because every time they tried their system crashed. If you have had a similar problem or my blog seems slow please could you mail me so that I can check it out if it's a problem with my blog. I'd really appreciate it :o)

I'd love to hear your comments on my postings ♥
